  • Q- Lounge showcases Marc Anthony Muevense

Q- Lounge showcases Marc Anthony Muevense June at the 94th Aero Squadron
Marc Anthony\’s 15th studio album \”MUEVENSE\” offers up a variety of different musical genres including bachata and ranchera. With 10 brand new tracks all co-produced by Marc himself and his longtime collaborator and producer, Sergio George. \”. Expect a blend of signature Salsa sounds alongside innovative compositions that push boundaries.

Veteran DJ Alex Gutierrez (formerly of Alcazaba, Paladium Nightclub and various radio stations Zol 95 and Clasica 92.3 ) who is now the resident DJ on the Salsa side of DJ Quinn\’s wildly popular \” 1235 Flashback Party\” has brought back the authentic Miami style Salsa party, incorporating Classic sounds and modern Salsa hits that preserve the essence of the Salsa nightclubs of South Florida such as \” Gabriel\’s\” \” Club Mystique and \” Alcazaba\”

. Miami Beat 305 had the pleasure of speaking with Veteran DJ Alex Gutierrez

Miami Beat 305: How does the new Marc anthony album fit into the \” Q-Lounge\” programming?

Dj Alex Gutierrez: \” All the tracks are Classic Marc Anthony. After his recent releases with more of an \” Urban \” feel such as \” Mala\” \”De Vuelta Pa\’ La Vuelta\” \”Pa\’lla Voy\” the Salsa songs on \” Muevense\” return to the Marc Anthony style we were introduced to back in the 90s. Focusing on the lyrical content on tracks such as \”Pasemos a los Besos\” \” Amarte a la Antigua\” beautiful Salsa Love songs that will have the ladies singing along on the dancefloor, and are my favorites from the album. The more Energetic tracks are also excellent \”Ale Ale \” and the tile track \” Muevense \”

Miami Beat 305 : What do you credit the success of The 1235 Flashback Parties at the Squadron?

DJ Alex Gutierrez: Simple ….Hard Work … DJ Quinn and his team spend at least two days setting up and transforming that venue into a nightclub. David Cordoves from \” Colors\” lighting brings in professional grade effects to create an immersive experience. The entire venue has become an entertainment complex with 2 seperate nightclubs , a restaurant, and an outdoor patio area . Every month we meet new people from as far away as Orlando and Coral Springs who travel to Miami just to be a part of this night. When Quinn approached me to bring my latin sounds to the \” Q-Lounge\” I knew exactly the music I wanted to play. I call my programming simply \” Old School Miami\” music that played in the clubs in the 80s and 90s. Of course I also felt the need to showcase the Salsa music of today , especially local artists like Lucy Grau, Tony Succar , Willie Chirino, Carlos Oliva and many more. It\’s a lot fun and if you haven\’t visited us yet , we hope to see you soon. We are all friends here, and we are proud to have created an environment where you can bring your significant other and enjoy an evening of dancing and socializing with a well dressed , well behaved crowd…..Oh, and No Bachata or Reggeaton .

Miami Beat 305: The 1235 Flashback parties are a monthly event at the 94th Aero Squadron in Miami. No Cover charge and free Parking . Table Reservations available ( Call in advance )

The Q-Lounge \” opens at 8 PM on 1235 event nights
